Lisa Wagman A person is permitted to apply for Social Security disability benefits up to the age of 65. Unfortunately you are past the cutoff.



if a person is receiving early retirement benefits before the age of 65 and simultaneously wins a disability claim, they are en_title_d to receive the higher of the two monthly amounts.



Once the disability claim is won, the benefits being paid revert from early retirement benefits to _title_ II disability benefits.
